POSTAGE & SHIPPING

SHIPPING INFORMATION

All orders ship from London, UK within 5–10 business days of full payment being received. Special or expedited delivery (when available) will be shipped ASAP. 

International (non UK) orders can sometimes take up to 4 weeks to arrive. Some countries may be excluded, please see the relevant section about "International Exclusions" on this page.

If your purchases are 'pre-ordered' this just means they are being printed/made and will ship within 7–10 working days; please let me know if you need your order sooner and I will do my best to speed up the process (email me at info@aratidevasher.com). 

If you would like urgent shipping, please contact me. Orders within the greater London area could be organised as a pickup from my studio in west London.

SHIPPING COSTS & CUSTOMS FEES

Shipping costs vary depending on your country.

I offer free postage to UK mainland on orders over £35.

Standard postal costs are from £8 to £15+ for other countries.

International orders (outside the UK) qualify for free shipping on orders over £100. 

International buyers are responsible for any and all Customs Charges, Taxes & Additional Postal Fees. 

NOTE: A friendly reminder that there is no such thing as 'free shipping'... It's a service that costs money and is getting more expensive every day. If you're getting free shipping, that means the shipper is paying for it. That's why a lot of us who have small one-woman (or man) businesses have a minimum spend to qualify for 'free' shipping. It's also why a lot of us can't offer free shipping across our entire range. I know most people who shop independent are lovely and totally understand this ♥️ I hope you do too. 

BREXIT & EU CUSTOMERS

BREXIT and EU Customers, please place your order on our website as normal. I am not VAT registered, so you are not being charged VAT. You are liable to pay taxes and duty charged by Customs in your country, which I cannot give guidance on.

Some countries may be excluded, please see the relevant section about "International Exclusions" on this page.

Please be aware that you may be charged a fee for delivery by your country/courier/postal service for which I am not responsible.

INTERNATIONAL EXCLUSIONS

Please note that I may not be able to ship to certain countries due to various reasons.

As of July 2023, I do not ship to the following countries:

– Germany: temporarily suspended due to the activation of the Verpackungsgesetz (Packaging Act)

– France: temporarily suspended due to their packagig recycling laws

– Russia

– China

– Israel

Royal Mail’s latest recommended posting dates for delivery in the UK are:

UK Mainland standard delivery: order before 11am on 17 December

UK Mainland tracked and signed delivery: order before 11am on 20 December

International standard delivery: order before 11am on 20 November

International tracked and signed delivery: order before 11am on December 5

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

RETURNS

If you do wish to return a purchase, the policy on ready-to-buy items lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately I can’t offer you a refund or exchange. All sales are subject to UK and EU law.

To complete your return, I require a receipt or proof of purchase.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

HOW TO RETURN

Please contact Arati to arrange a return so that I know it's coming back to me. You will be required to cover the cost of shipping and any customs fees for returns.

Made-to-order items are only returnable if there is no personalised text – dates or names – or imagery in the custom design. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. I do not accept returns on products that are intimate (such as face masks, sleep masks etc.) or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

Additional non-returnable items:
* Gift cards
* Downloadable software products
* Some health and personal care items
* Samples and seconds items which are already heavily discounted and clearly labelled as samples and seconds. This does not count as a defective or damaged item.

RETURNS SHIPPING

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping/customs costs for returning your item. Please contact me for address details. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

You should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. I don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item, and there can be no refund if I do not receive it.

Loss through the post (UK Royal Mail) or courier is not covered under my refund policy. If you would like tracked delivery or insurance, please specify at time of purchase. Please allow 14 working days if you are based in the UK or 35 working days if you are outside the UK. If after this time your item still has not arrived then please contact me to investigate.

REFUNDS & EXCHANGES

Once your return is received and inspected, I will send you an email to notify you that I have received your returned item. I will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact me again.

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges (if applicable)
I only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, contact me and I'll do my best to help you.

Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, a refund will be sent to the gift giver and they will know about your return.

PURCHASING INFORMATION

MODES OF PAYMENT

All major credit cards are accepted. I can also take cash payments if you choose to collect your delivery from my studio. All payments are process through Shopify so payment information is never retained or viewed by me.

COMPLIMENTARY GIFT-WRAPPING

Would like your order gift-wrapped in special paper, or sent directly to another address with a gift receipt? Please leave a note at checkout.

SHOP LOCATION

All originals are handmade by me (Arati Devasher), and products are made in the UK.

Everything is shipped from my studio in London, UK.

FRAMED ART

At present I don't offer framed art prints or originals. My prints fit in any standard frame larger than the size of the print.

I suggest you go to your local framer, an art shop like Jackson's Art (affiliate link) or a high street retailer.

FUNDRAISING

This does not cost you anything extra, it's just something I do in order to sustain a consistent donation to my charity of choice.

SUSTAINABILITY POLICY

As I learn more and more about the problems the world is facing and how much each person can help to make a change, it has become rather important that I make sure everything I produce is biodegradable or recyclable and with a reduced carbon footprint.

LOCALLY MADE IN SMALL BATCHES

All my final products are designed by me, and then printed or manufactured in the UK.

Tea towels may sometimes have single samples printed in the USA or Germany (via Spoonflower) for ease of testing, prior to the final products being made in the UK.

I will continue to manufacture and source within the UK. I order products in small quantities, so wastage is minimal.

Any seconds and misprints are reused or sold at a discount so they aren't wasted.

ECO-FRIENDLY MATERIALS

The paper I use for my art prints and stationery is either FSC certified or recycled. Fabrics are all natural materials, and usually organic. My suppliers are also committed to reducing their impact on the environment, and I actively look for this in new suppliers.

PLASTIC-FREE PACKAGING

All orders are shipped in minimal, plastic-free packaging, which is biodegradable, compostable or recycled. I save the packaging from my own deliveries and reuse it wherever possible. Please try to reuse the packaging I send you!
