The black and white photographs were the focus of the design for this book. The publisher requested supporting elements that were bright in colour and relevant to the feel of the city and these were incorporated in block colours, page corners and for the captions. An additional use of coloured endpapers and a translucent first page added to the multi-layered feel of the book, reflecting the content of the text.
